Dow Agrosciences Building
Building 314 is a 200,000-sf research and development building connected to the existing research and development building. The facility supports 160 new employees in a state of the art Biotech/Bio Processing lab environment.
The facility showcases growth and energy that is transforming Dow AgroSciences (DAS). DAS feels their LEED Certified research and development building has improved their position in the market, aids in employee recruitment and retention, and makes a statement to the community about their position on the environment.
Sitework included several sustainable components such as bioswales, bicycle racks and showers, fuel efficient vehicle parking spaces and water efficient landscaping, all of which contributed to the buildings LEED Certification. The project also included construction of a new loop road around campus, relocation of a 20-inch water main, boring of a 60-inch storm sewer under the building, utility relocations, and a new loading dock and tank farm. The project also incorporated several site amenities for the building users including a walking path, basketball court and volleyball court.
