Indiana School of Medicine – Research III
The Research III project consisted of a new 255,000 square foot Cancer Research facility, which houses scientific discovery for lifesaving therapies, especially in cancer treatment. It’s designed to promote collaboration among principal investigators and faculty researchers in multiple disciplines and to increase translational research, the application of research to patient care. The facility includes cancer, neuroscience and immunobiology programs.
The site work included significant utility relocation, including a 1/2-mile sanitary sewer relocation. New utility services to the building included storm, sanitary, water, chilled water, electric, gas, telecommunications, high pressure steam and liquid nitrogen. IDEM, ISDH, and city of Indianapolis permits were required including a well field protection area permit.
